The main inspiration for this styled shoot came from the idea of an English garden wedding with modern touches. We wanted to modernize this idea by bringing in more vibrant colors to a setting that is often seen as being more muted in the winter. An English garden meets a modernized setting that combines the traditional touches with modern elements of a contemporary setting that will give couples and guests a vibrant, fun, luxe, and romantic atmosphere. This took place during the end of the winter season, so I wanted to showcase that the California sun can bring that warmth and romance to our couple’s wedding even during the winter times.
This iconic wedding venue in Northern California speaks for itself and the beautiful architecture and garden are a perfect backdrop for our designs, and we were excited to bring the place to life with our vibrant colors, floral prints, and textures
While being at this iconic and luxe venue, of course we had to choose a breathtaking gown to go with it for our bride. I wanted a gown that would truly make a statement in any space she walks into with a color palette that compliments the garden setting perfectly. A long, luscious train is the perfect way to make a statement and set the tone for a night you’ll always remember.
When designing the flowers for the Modern English Garden Photoshoot, Teakae Tied selected flowers with different textures to create an organic garden atmosphere as well as blooms with lots of ruffles for a romantic touch. The aisle and altar installation feature the seasonal cherry blossom branches and mimosa flowers that bring together a warm spring feeling with the bright yet soft color palette. For the bride bouquet, we selected delicate blooms with a softer hue to compliment the bridal gown as well as the model- Lorianna Sacha Bland’s fair features. The reception flowers have the softer pastels brought together with the brighter colors to captivate the guests attention in the lush -yet not overpowering, table detailing of the unique blooms used.

We wanted the feel of a real wedding so we styled with a real couple for our bride and groom model for the this shoot. The couple met in Bali and lived there together for a few years and moved back to California together. Their chemistry and love stole the show!
